TRUMPF TruLaser 1030, like no other laser cutting machine on the market

TRUMPF says its TruLaser 1030 unveiled at Blechexpo 2009, is like no other laser cutting machine on the market, offering manufacturers the ability to pursue new business opportunities.

According to TRUMPF, the compact TruLaser 1030 has a footprint of just 25 square meters requiring around half the floor space of a conventional 3m laser machine, yet retaining the ability to handle large pieces of sheet metal.

The TruLaser 1030 is said to combine a rugged drive system and machine construction with a TRUMPF TruCoax 2 kW diffusion-cooled RF laser resonator, to provide a cost-effective laser cutting system.

TRUMPF says with a simultaneous axis speed of 85m/min, the TruLaser 1030 can cut mild steel in thicknesses up to 15mm. The system offers companies the opportunity to expand their sheet-metal production capacity by producing prototypes and low-volume products.
